Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Direct Hire A leading long-term care pharmacy in Georgetown, Kentucky is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead and manage pharmacy operations. This direct hire opportunity requires a strong leader with a reliable work ethic and experience in long-term care pharmacy to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient service delivery.

ASAP Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including prescription dispensing and medication counseling. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances. Develop and implement policies and procedures for safe, efficient pharmacy practices. Provide mentorship and leadership to pharmacists, technicians, and staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations and facilitate ongoing staff training. Manage medication inventory with a focus on availability and minimizing waste. Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurers to resolve medication issues. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly. Stay informed on industry trends, new medications, and regulatory updates. Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Perform audits and inspections, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.Desired Qualifications:
Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing. 2 to 4 years of long-term care pharmacy experience. Recent management experience within a pharmacy setting, preferably LTC. Strong reliability and commitment to regular attendance are critical. Experience with pharmacy software is a plus; Frameworks training provided as needed.
