Job Description

Company Description Vital Care of Lexington specializes in providing safe and convenient infusion therapy services for patients with acute and chronic conditions. Our services are designed to bring care to patients in the comfort of their home or an alternate infusion site. We are committed to delivering knowledgeable patient consultations, rapid service, effective communication, and dedicated support throughout treatment. Post-therapy follow-ups ensure continuity of care and enhanced patient outcomes. Role Description This is a part-time (15-20 hours per week) on-site role for a Pharmacist at Vital Care of Lexington, located in Lexington, KY. Vital Care is a close-door pharmacy not open to the general public. No need to worry about constant interruptions from a ringing phone or a drive-thru here. The Pharmacist will oversee the preparation and dispensing of medication for infusion therapies, ensure medication safety and compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide patient-centered consultations. The position includes collaborating with healthcare providers, monitoring treatment progress, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Qualifications Pharmaceutical skills:
Knowledge of sterile compounding (USP 797), medication safety, and compliance with applicable regulations Clinical skills: Experience with infusion therapies and understanding of acute and chronic conditions Interpersonal skills: Strong communication abilities to provide patient consultations and collaborate with healthcare teams Organizational skills: Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and managing workflows effectively Licensure and education: Active pharmacy license in Kentucky; Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) or equivalent degree Familiarity with home infusion services and related healthcare practices is a plus
Pay:
$60.72 - $69.00 per hour
