Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Direct Hire A leadership opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge at a closed door, long-term care (LTC) facility. This direct hire role demands a highly reliable professional with strong management skills and a commitment to operational excellence. Attendance and dependability are critical to success in maintaining consistent pharmacy services in this environment.
Location:
Richmond, KY Schedule:
Monday to Friday, Day Shift Evening and weekend coverage only if needed
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Oversee daily pharmacy operations including prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and patient services. Maintain accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances. Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures for safety and efficiency. Lead, support, and evaluate pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative work environment. Manage medication inventory in partnership with the inventory manager to optimize stock levels and minimize waste. Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance entities to resolve medication-related issues. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring excellent service. Stay current with regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance. Conduct audits and inspections to safeguard compliance and patient safety. Promote a clean, safe workspace adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacist license required. 2-4 years of direct LTC pharmacy experience preferred. Recent pharmacy management experience, ideally in LTC settings. Familiarity with or willingness to learn Frameworks software system. Exceptional attendance record and reliability are essential.
