Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 200+ bed community hospital in Alexandria, LA is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for a contract position beginning ASAP. This 13-week assignment offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical setting, providing direct patient care and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Schedule:
Four 10-hour shifts per week Rotating schedule that may include 6AM-4:30PM, 7AM-5:30PM, or 12:30PM-11PM shifts Every other weekend requirement
Key Responsibilities:
Order verification and medication dispensing oversight Supervision of pharmacy technicians to ensure accuracy and compliance Consultation with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies Performing pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring to ensure optimal patient outcomes Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems for efficient medication management Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
Valid Pharmacist license for the state of Louisiana Experience working in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings Proficient with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems Strong clinical skills with the ability to provide consultative services Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) This contract role provides exposure to a fast-paced hospital environment with comprehensive clinical pharmacy practice. Candidates must provide a resume, completed skills checklist, and at least two professional references upon application. License verification and current BLS certification will also be required.
