• Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital pharmacist opportunity is now available in the Baton Rouge market for pharmacists looking to gain strong inpatient experience within a busy 200+ bed community hospital.

This assignment offers a flexible 4x10 schedule with rotating shifts and broad clinical exposure across multiple patient care areas. Pharmacists in this role will work closely with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff to support medication safety and patient care initiatives. Responsibilities Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness Supervise pharmacy technicians and support daily pharmacy workflow Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapies and dosing Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and clinical interventions Support medication safety programs and regulatory compliance Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and distribution Work Hours 4x10-hour shifts per week Rotating day and evening schedules Potential shift times include: 6:00 AM

• 4:30 PM 7:00 AM
• 5:30 PM 12:30 PM
• 11:00 PM Every other weekend required Experience Previous inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience preferred Pharmacokinetics experience preferred Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is a plus Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Other Qualifications Active and valid Louisiana Pharmacist License Strong communication and clinical problem-solving abilities Ability to work effectively in a collaborative hospital environment Full-time availability for the duration of the assignment to be considered for this Louisiana pharmacist opportunity or send your resume directly to learn more about additional pharmacy openings currently available.
