Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area is seeking two Transplant/Clinical Pharmacist Specialists for a 13-week contract position starting Monday, May 4. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical pharmaceutical care within a dynamic transplant program.
Location:
Kenner, LA (near Metairie, LA)
Schedule:
Days, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Weekend rotation required 13-week contract duration
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert clinical pharmacy services focused on solid organ transplant patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary transplant teams to optimize medication therapy. Monitor patient progress, adjust therapies, and ensure safe pharmaceutical care. Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for documentation and communication. Support transplant program initiatives through specialized clinical knowledge.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 1 year transplant pharmacy experience required. PGY-2 Solid Organ Transplant residency preferred; candidates with PGY-1 residency and transplant support experience are encouraged to apply. Active Louisiana pharmacy license in hand. Board certification in pharmacotherapy or transplant pharmacy is preferred but not mandatory. Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records system.
