Clinical Pharmacist

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week clinical pharmacist opportunity is available in Pollock, LA, at a 200+ bed community hospital. This role offers an engaging setting to apply your pharmacy expertise while supporting patient care in a dynamic environment.

Schedule:

Four 10-hour shifts per week Rotating shifts between 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM-11:00 PM Every other weekend coverage

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate order verification to ensure patient safety Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff Provide clinical consultations to physicians and nursing teams Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication therapy Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to manage medication dispensing and records

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid pharmacist license Current BLS certification (via American Heart Association) Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis technology preferred Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting
