Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A part-time Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) position is available at an opioid treatment center near Alexandria, Louisiana. This role offers a 1-year contract with the opportunity for extension or potential direct hire, making it ideal for professionals seeking a specialized pharmacy leadership role with a focus on substance abuse treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee pharmacy operations as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring smooth and compliant workflow. Conduct thorough chart reviews and maintain precise documentation. Verify and fill prescriptions as needed, especially when technician support is unavailable. Complete internal reports and forms utilizing Microsoft Excel. Ensure full compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations. Work independently with limited patient interaction unless consultation is requested. No billing or insurance tasks involved, allowing focus on clinical and operational duties.
Qualifications:
Active Louisiana Pharmacist license in good standing without any negative history. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience. Experience in substance abuse or opioid treatment preferred but not mandatory. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required to manage reporting responsibilities.
Schedule:
