Home Infusion Clinical Pharmacist in Cambridge, MA RPh on the Go - 4.1 Cambridge, MA Job Details PRN | Contract $61 - $72 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Registered Pharmacist (RPh) IV compounding Cleanroom protocols Licensed Pharmacist (State-Specific) Doctor of Pharmacy Licensed Pharmacist Full Job Description Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A healthcare provider specializing in home infusion IV and infusion services is seeking a PRN Staff Pharmacist to support clinical pharmacy operations on a recurring basis in Cambridge, MA. This role offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to patient care by ensuring the safe preparation and dispensing of infusion medications for patients with acute and chronic needs.
Responsibilities include:
Evaluating and processing physician orders, while verifying insurance benefits Performing sterile compounding and supporting cleanroom operations according to USP 797 standards Ensuring accurate dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies Maintaining detailed patient and pharmacy records in compliance with federal and state regulations Communicating effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Supervising pharmacy technicians and support staff Managing assigned patient caseloads and providing pharmacist coverage as needed
Schedule:
Initial training on EMR system: 4 to 8 days onsite Ongoing PRN shifts approximately 2 days per month with flexible scheduling Shifts generally run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM onsite
Qualifications:
Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License in good standing required Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience; 2+ years clinical pharmacy experience preferred Proven experience in infusion therapy and sterile compounding In-depth knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards Strong skills in communication, multitasking, time management, and critical thinking This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated pharmacist with a background in home infusion and sterile compounding who values flexible scheduling and meaningful clinical work.
