Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A Home Infusion provider focused on delivering IV and infusion services to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions is seeking a PRN Staff Pharmacist to provide clinical pharmacy support on a recurring basis in Cambridge, MA. This role involves evaluating and processing physician orders while verifying insurance benefits. You will perform sterile compounding and support cleanroom operations to ensure the safe dispensing of medications and infusion-related supplies. Maintaining accurate patient and pharmacy records in compliance with federal and state regulations is essential. Effective communication with patients, physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members is required. The position includes supervising pharmacy technicians and support staff, managing assigned patient caseloads, and providing coverage for other pharmacists as needed. Schedule /
Shifts:
Initial training: 4-8 days on EMR system (June 18,19,25,26)
Ongoing:
2 days per month with flexible scheduling, additional PRN coverage as needed Typical shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on-site
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active MA Pharmacist License in good standing Minimum of 1+ year of pharmacy experience Preferred 2+ years of clinical pharmacy experience Required infusion therapy and/or sterile compounding experience Thorough knowledge of USP 797 sterile compounding standards Excellent communication, multitasking, time management, and critical-thinking skills This contract opportunity offers a flexible schedule to contribute your expertise in a dynamic home infusion setting.
