Pharmacist

POSITION SUMMARY

The Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing prescriptions, ensuring the accuracy of filled prescriptions, labeling of prescriptions and providing information and guidance to patients. The Pharmacist ensures safe medication use, monitors patient history, and stays updated on advancements in medicine. The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards. 5. Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store. 6. Must be 18 years of age or older. 7. Must be a licensed Pharmacist in the state in which pharmacy is practiced. 8. Must complete HIPAA training. 9. Must be certified to administer vaccines in the state in which pharmacy is practiced. 10. Must consent to and pass a drug screen and background investigation at time of hire or transfer to position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Demonstrate the ability to engage others to maximize the customer experience, by creating a personal connection that benefits our customers and communities, with every product, service and solution we provide. 2. To make, mix and compound prescriptions. 3. Fill and evaluate prescriptions for completeness, accuracy, legality and proper labeling. 4. Provide over the counter recommendations to customers. 5. Ensure inventory is properly maintained to ensure customer satisfaction. 6. Maintain adequate patient information to ensure the safety and appropriateness of all prescriptions. 7. Administer vaccines in accordance with state regulations and Big Y policies. 8. In the absence of the Pharmacist Manager, supervise, direct the work of, provide training and delegate tasks of employees in the department using discretion and independent judgment. 9. Support the pharmacy manager in all operations and sales objectives/goals for assigned area (e.g. contribution, budget, gross profit, productivity, inventory management, merchandising/signage, price checks/changes, promotions/contests, etc.). •Full Time positions are 30 hours per week.

$86,000.00 - $128,900.00 per year
