For more information, visit www.altruix.com. We are seeking a Full-Time Pharmacist to support pharmacy operations at our Annapolis, MD location. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, accurate, and compliant review and dispensing of medications while maintaining high standards of patient care. The Pharmacist will evaluate medication orders, monitor for potential interactions, support clinical decision-making, and collaborate with pharmacy staff and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and operational excellence. Compensation for this role ranges from $132,000.00

Main Responsibilities Evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, and potential interactions Maintains patient database to include appropriate current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications Ensures appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring certain high-risk conditions are ordered, evaluated, and discussed with appropriate members of the healthcare team Obtains, as necessary, and maintains all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies and company policy Informs the Pharmacist in Charge of medication-related errors Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required Knowledge of principles related to pharmaceutical preparation and practices Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy Preferred Qualifications Two years of pharmacist experience, long-term care pharmacy preferred Strong leadership skills Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, team player with strong oral communication skills Combination of comprehensive therapeutic knowledge, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment Ability to work cooperatively with others and understand current standards of pharmacy practice Understanding of the challenges of professional pharmacy practice Ability to master computer/software applications necessary to perform job duties Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Key Traits for Success Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality Adaptable and flexible, able to manage changing priorities and workflow demands Reliable and dependable with a strong commitment to supporting daily pharmacy operations and maintaining consistent workflow coverage Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with pharmacy staff and internal teams Organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-focused environment Professional and composed under pressure while maintaining compliance and operational standards Team-oriented with a willingness to support workflow and operational needs as they arise Proactive in identifying and escalating issues related to orders, inventory, or processes Schedule This is a full-time position based out of our Annapolis, MD location. The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours and staffing needs determined by operational requirements.
