Job Description

We are looking for a motivated, patient-focused Pharmacist to join our MVH Pharmacy team. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative healthcare environment where your expertise directly supports quality care and improves lives every day. We're seeking someone who combines strong clinical knowledge with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to pharmacy operations. Key Responsibilities:
Review, verify, and dispense medications accurately and efficiently Ensure safe medication practices and regulatory compliance Collaborate with providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care Identify and resolve medication-related concerns, interactions, or discrepancies Support pharmacy workflow, inventory management, and controlled substance accountability Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and operational excellence Provide education and support to healthcare staff as needed
What We Are Looking For:
PharmD or post-graduate degree from an accredited program Active Maine Pharmacist license (or ability to obtain prior to hire) Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment Long-term care, institutional, or clinical pharmacy experience preferred but not required
