Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to provide crucial coverage at a healthcare facility in Maine. This role focuses primarily on low-volume prescription verification with technician support on-site and does not require infusion responsibilities or experience. The position offers a chance to work independently while ensuring patient safety and medication accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify prescriptions, managing a low volume of fewer than 10 scripts per day Collaborate with pharmacy technicians on-site to ensure smooth workflow Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and policies Provide pharmacist coverage during designated dates including a mandatory training period
Schedule:
Coverage periods: April 15-17 (training), April 20-24 Daily hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00
PM Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Active Maine Pharmacist License required Previous pharmacy experience essential Ideally, candidates with experience as the sole pharmacist managing a pharmacy This role will suit a pharmacist who is comfortable working independently in a quiet, controlled environment with supportive staff.
