Management, L.L.C. 33 reviews $65.29 an hour - Full-time, Contract Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our healthcare team on a contractual basis, working days from Monday through Friday. Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately in accordance with physicians' prescriptions and hospital protocols, ensuring patient safety and compliance. Provide expert consultation on medication therapy management, including acute pain management, IV infusion therapy, and pediatrics. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate pharmacological interventions and monitor responses. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in high-acuity settings such as ICU, PICU, trauma centers, and emergency rooms to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain thorough knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques to support clinical decision-making. Ensure proper medication administration procedures are followed, including aseptic technique and medication reconciliation. Participate in hospital initiatives related to managed care, medication safety, and quality improvement programs. Stay current with advancements in pharmacy practice, including critical care protocols and hospital medicine best practices. Support the training and mentoring of pharmacy residents or interns as needed. Qualifications Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Prior experience working in a hospital setting with exposure to Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers preferred. Demonstrated expertise in clinical pharmacy practice within acute care environments such as ICU, PICU, or emergency departments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology. Experience with medication administration techniques including IV infusion and aseptic procedures. Proven ability to assess patients comprehensively and develop tailored pharmacotherapy plans. Post-residency experience or formal pharmacy residency training highly desirable. Familiarity with managed care systems and hospital medicine operations. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and patient service delivery. Critical care experience including ICU or emergency room exposure is advantageous.
