LTC Mail Order Staff Pharmacist | Minneapolis, Minnesota RPh on the Go - 4.1 Minneapolis, MN Job Details Contract $55 - $62 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Registered Pharmacist (RPh) Licensed Pharmacist (State-Specific) Doctor of Pharmacy Licensed Pharmacist Full Job Description Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced Staff Pharmacist specializing in Long Term Care (LTC) and Mail Order pharmacy services. This role requires adaptability with variable shifts, offering a dynamic weekly schedule Monday through Sunday.

Variable shifts (9:30 AM-6:00 PM / 10:00 AM-6:30 PM / 11:00 AM-8:30 PM)Saturday-Sunday:
10:00 AM-6:30PM Key Responsibilities:
Accept and accurately dispense prescription medications while ensuring compliance with legal regulations. Monitor patient medication adherence and identify any patterns of overuse. Verify the suitability of prescribed medications to maximize patient safety. Maintain meticulous, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation. Provide expert consultation to patients on medication usage, potential side effects, dosage instructions, and drug interactions. Deliver patient-centered services including smoking cessation counseling, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management. Educate patients on proper use and handling of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors. Compound medications for internal or external use, adhering strictly to sterile techniques. Supervise pharmacy personnel including technicians and clerks to ensure workflow efficiency and compliance. Manage pharmaceutical and medical supplies inventory to maintain adequate stock levels. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to identify and solve drug-related problems. Qualifications /Desired Experience:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is required. Valid Minnesota Pharmacy license is mandatory. Experience in Long Term Care pharmacy preferred. IV compounding experience is an advantage but not required. This role demands strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to support both patients and healthcare professionals effectively.
