  • 6:30 PM Job Summary We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our team and provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
The ideal candidate will accurately dispense medications, counsel patients, maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards Review prescriptions to ensure suitability and accuracy for patients Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files Counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, storage, side effects, and drug interactions Answer patient questions regarding medications and treatment plans Provide healthcare services such as smoking cessation counseling, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management Educate patients on proper use of medical devices including glucose meters and blood pressure monitors Compound medications for internal and external use Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedures and protocols Supervise pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff Maintain inventory levels for pharmaceutical and medical supplies Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare providers Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to improve patient care Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required Active Pharmacist license issued by the state pharmacy board required Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, medications, and patient counseling Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment IV experience preferred but not required #
VMS Pay:
Up to $69.03 per hour
