You will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, providing clinical consultation, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Prepare, dispense, and review medication orders with precision, ensuring accuracy and safety for all patients. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy plans. Provide expert guidance on drug interactions, contraindications, and proper medication administration techniques. Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy as needed based on clinical assessments. Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, maintaining strict aseptic techniques during IV infusion preparation. Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication usage, potential side effects, and safety protocols. Maintain comprehensive documentation of medication dispensing activities in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Requirements Valid pharmacist license in the relevant jurisdiction with current certification. Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including working in Level I Trauma Centers or similar high-acuity settings. Proven expertise in managed care pharmacy practices and clinical pharmacy services. Experience with ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), emergency room settings, or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and acute care pharmacology. Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, acute pain management, and medication administration protocols. Proficiency in aseptic techniques, IV infusion preparation, and sterile compounding procedures.
