About the Position We seek a dedicated Part-time Clinical Pharmacist to manage daily operations of our pharmacy, which provides medications to both our inpatient and community patients. - Receives prescriptions from licensed prescribers and fills such according to written instructions.
- Dispenses medications to hospice patients and supervises pharmacy technicians/interns.
- Orders medications and supplies ensuring inventory levels are adequate for the requirements of the patients.
- Communicates regularly with prescribers and nursing staff to ensure a thorough awareness of the pharmaceutical needs of the patient.
- Provides safe storage of medications and maintains department records.
- Follows written policies for procurement, storage, dispensing, and disposal of drugs.
- Reviews medication errors and assists nursing leadership as needed.
- Attends clinical meetings as requested.
- Provides clinical guidance including opioid conversions, antibiotics regimens, and symptom management
- Compound oral medications as needed.
- Assures compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
Position Qualification Education:
Bachelor of Science in
Pharmacy or PharmD License:
Current Minnesota License as Registered Pharmacist in good standing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in inpatient acute, long-term care or hospice pharmacy
- Understanding of palliative care medications and narcotic conversions Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Position Details This position is a Part-time position that is not benefit-eligible. Hours are approximately 8-20 hours per 2 week pay period in addition to PTO coverage. Shifts will include every other Monday and some weekends.
