Job Description

Regions Hospital is looking for a highly motivated experienced Overnight Clinical Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care and clinical expertise to patients. The Clinical Pharmacist will be responsible for the provision of pharmacy services including inpatient dispensing and IV preparation (prefer 1 year current experience), occasional outpatient dispensing, and decentralized clinical services. The shift will be 7 on/7 off overnight providing a mix of centralized and decentralized activities. This includes medical emergency response in the hospital, supporting ICU and cross-cover clinicians with medication management. The ideal candidate will have initiative, good triaging skills, and be able to work with independence. Pharmacists provide professional pharmaceutical services by: Reviewing medication orders. Dispensing medications and related supplies. Monitoring patient medication therapies. Providing drug information to healthcare providers. Overseeing the work of direct support personnel. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Night Shift Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy Currently functioning in a decentralized capacity (comparable role), or Completion of a Post-Doctorate Pharmacy Program (i.e., residency or fellowship, e.g., American Society of Health System Pharmacists [ASHP] accredited PGY1 or PGY2 pharmacy residency), or BPS Board Certification (e.g., Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist)
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Current license to practice pharmacy in the
State of Minnesota Preferred Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Education-Same as above. Post-graduate training and/or BPS Board Certification in area of specialty.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Licensed preceptor with MN Board of Pharmacy is preferred for any pharmacist roles that will precept students and interns.
