Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type All Job Types An opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy at a behavioral health inpatient facility in Columbia, MO. This role offers a critical leadership position overseeing pharmacy operations during the transition to permanent staffing.

April 29 (with 2 days cross-training)
Duration:
Until permanent hire
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM 30-minute unpaid meal break
Key Responsibilities:
Lead pharmacy services ensuring compliance with regulations and standards Manage medication distribution processes and oversee repackaging tasks Operate and maintain automated drug dispensing systems, including loading medications and running restock reports Supervise pharmacy staff and coordinate workflow to support patient care within a behavioral health setting Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmaceutical care delivery
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active Missouri pharmacist license required Experience with Omnicell automated medication systems preferred Familiarity with repackaging medications using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL is desirable Basic skills in managing automated machines and generating inventory reports This role is essential for maintaining seamless pharmacy operations and requires a self-driven professional ready to take charge. The position starts immediately with cross-training support and transitions into independent management.
