Job Description

Long-Term Care Pharmacist (Closed-Door Facility) Rx relief is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Pharmacist to join an exceptional team in St. Louis, MO . If you are looking to escape the traditional retail rush, this is your opportunity! This position is set in a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy , meaning absolutely no public walk-ins or counter dispensing. We are looking for someone to step in ASAP . While a Temp-to-Hire arrangement is highly preferred, we are fully open to Direct Hire for the right fit.
Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate:
$60.00 - $63.00/hour (Highly negotiable; open to higher rates based on exceptional experience)
Work-Life Balance:
Enjoy a predictable, structured weekday environment with a light on-call rotation.
Schedule Primary Shift:
Monday through Friday, approximately 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (includes a dedicated 1-hour lunch break).
Rotations:
Flexibility to work rotating weekends and rotating on-call coverage is required. Core Responsibilities As an integral part of the pharmacy team, you will cross-train across various departments to support comprehensive operations.
Your daily impact will include:
Prescription Excellence:
Oversee the precise evaluation, verification, and distribution of medications.
Clinical Oversight:
Review patient medication profiles to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, optimal safety, and positive health outcomes.
Collaborative Problem Solving:
Act as a clinical resource, managing medication-related inquiries and executing necessary clinical interventions.
Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain rigorous adherence to industry standards, long-term care regulations, and pharmacy protocols.
Facility Partnership:
Cultivate strong, professional relationships and deliver stellar communication to our partnering care facilities.
Position Requirements Licensure:
Valid, active Pharmacist license in the state of Missouri.
Interpersonal Skills:
Robust clinical knowledge paired with top-tier communication skills.
Adaptability:
Ability to collaborate seamlessly within a high-energy, fast-paced healthcare team. Preferred (But Not Required): Previous experience in a Long-Term Care environment and/or familiarity with IV compounding are great advantages, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
