Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a dedicated hospital pharmacist practicing in a Behavioral Health/Psych setting. The position is contract-based, starting immediately and running through June 13th. It offers a unique chance to work independently as the solo pharmacist while receiving technical support to assist daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough checking and verification of medication orders and dispensing processes. Perform medication control tasks to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance. Collaborate with pharmacy technicians who provide support during daily activities. Utilize electronic health records through medDispense and Azalea Health systems. Operate within pharmacy hours from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed and qualified pharmacist with valid credentials. Experience in retail pharmacy is acceptable; training will be provided for hospital and behavioral health settings. Comfortable working independently as the sole pharmacist on-site. Familiarity with pharmacy dispensing systems such as medDispense or Azalea Health EHR is a plus but not mandatory.
Location:
Liberty, Mississippi, with the position specifically based in Magnolia, MS. Candidates must be willing to travel or relocate as needed.
