Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract opportunity is available for a Hospital Pharmacist specializing in Behavioral Health/Psych at a facility in Magnolia, MS. This role offers a unique chance for pharmacists with retail experience to transition into the behavioral health setting, with training provided to support your success. Location:
Magnolia, Mississippi Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM No weekend shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Check and verify medication orders accurately Perform medication controls and ensure compliance with protocols Operate as the sole pharmacist on duty, with technician support available Utilize medDispense system and Azalea Health electronic health records for daily tasks
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed pharmacist with credentials to practice in the state Experience in retail pharmacy settings accepted; behavioral health experience is a plus but not required Ability to work independently as the solo pharmacist on-site Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Willingness to learn and adapt to electronic health record systems (medDispense/Azalea Health) This opportunity provides hands-on experience in a specialized pharmacological setting with supportive training and a predictable weekday schedule.
