Job Description

Company Overview Juro's Pharmacy Health and Wellness is a privately-owned organization committed to delivering high-quality pharmacy services and home medical equipment for over six decades. As a Joint Commission accredited provider, we specialize in durable medical equipment, respiratory services, and pharmacy solutions, including retail and compounded medications. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess retail pharmacy experience. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient care through medication management, compounding, and collaboration with healthcare professionals in a dynamic pharmacy environment. Position would be afternoon to closing shifts. Hours and schedule can be tailored to fit the right candidate's availability. Experience and Requirments
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.
Reviews prescriptions issued by physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, storage of pharmaceuticals and all other customer inquiries or concerns. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory. Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength Informs Pharmacist in Charge and other relevant staff on matters pertaining to staff, patients, families, and physicians. Audits and maintains pharmacy inventory and supplies and maintains stock levels including accurate packing of orders and replenishing supply inventory. Assists in ensuring compliance of pharmacy operations with Federal, State, accrediting bodies and local rules and regulations and ensure that updates are maintained regarding such regulations. Researches product market information and works with the pharmaceutical team to evaluate new and existing products and supplies.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and clinical guidelines Excellent communication and patient counseling skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Experience (Optional) Experience in community, retail, compounding pharmacy Familiarity with pharmacy software systems
