IV Sterile Compounding Pharmacist in Apex, NC RPh on the Go - 4.1 Apex, NC Job Details Temp-to-hire Qualifications Licensed Pharmacist (State-Specific) Doctor of Pharmacy Licensed Pharmacist Full Job Description Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Sterile Compounding Pharmacist opportunity is available in Apex, NC, focused on managing home infusion therapies within a dynamic healthcare environment. This role offers a contract-to-hire arrangement lasting approximately 17 weeks, with potential for direct hire.
Location:
Apex, NC Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday rotating shifts: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM On-call duties including weekends and evenings

Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee home infusion therapies through clinical oversight, sterile compounding, and operational workflow management using CPR+. Review and assess referrals for drug appropriateness, dosing, administration routes, and lab monitoring. Initiate new patient therapies, process refills, conduct medication reconciliation, and perform patient counseling. Monitor lab-dependent therapies and coordinate patient care with healthcare providers and nursing staff. Accurately enter prescriptions, document clinical activities, and adjudicate insurance claims. Prepare and verify sterile compounded medications adhering to USP standards with proper labeling and lot tracking. Supervise pharmacy technicians, support production and delivery workflows, and maintain inventory controls. Ensure timely, accurate, and safe medication dispensing and delivery in a fast-paced home infusion setting.
Qualifications:
Valid North Carolina Pharmacy License required. Proven experience in sterile compounding. Home infusion experience strongly preferred. This position enables a skilled pharmacist to contribute significantly to patient care by combining clinical expertise with operational leadership in home infusion services. The role offers variety through rotating day shifts and includes critical responsibilities in medication safety and therapy management.
