Job Summary and Qualifications Role Summary:
The clinical pharmacist is responsible for the safe, effective, evidence-based, and cost-effective selection and utilization of medications for the patients in which they serve. The clinical pharmacist uses advanced knowledge, skills, and professional judgment in all aspects of his or her work. Adherence to all regulatory and medication safety guidelines are at the forefront of all actions and decisions made within the practice of the clinical pharmacist. The pharmacist works closely with clinic leadership, physicians and caregivers within the clinic to ensure the best patient outcomes.What qualifications you will need:
Required Education:
B.S. or PharmD from anACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy Required License:
A current pharmacist license with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy, or eligible to become licensed with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of the hire dateRequired Experience:
Graduate of an accredited PGY1 Pharmacy residency program or 3 years of equivalent experience.Preferred Experience:
Graduate of an accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency program specializing in ambulatory care or 6 years equivalent experience.
