Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire This opportunity is ideally suited for a licensed pharmacist passionate about compounding and providing personalized pharmaceutical care. You will play a critical role in preparing and dispensing both sterile and non-sterile compounded medications while working closely with a dedicated healthcare team. Your expertise will contribute directly to improving patient health outcomes through attentive prescription management and patient counseling.
Location:
Burlington, NC Schedule and Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Every third Saturday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Includes a 30-minute lunch breakKey Responsibilities:
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers to tailor medication therapies to patient needs Prepare and dispense compounded prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and safety Maintain precise patient records and manage inventory effectively Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to optimize patient health outcomes Assist in training and supervising pharmacy techniciansQualifications and Desired Experience:
Active pharmacist license in North Carolina 1-2 years of pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates with a passion for compounding are encouraged to apply Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 compounding standards Familiarity with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing Experience or willingness to learn pharmacy software (PK system; training provided) This is a contract-to-hire position offering a supportive environment to grow your compounding skills alongside a collaborative healthcare team.
