Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - IV Certified Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Cary, NC seeks a Staff Pharmacist with IV/Infusion certification for a 17-week contract with the possibility to convert to permanent. This opportunity requires immediate availability due to client processing timelines.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, flexible shifts: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM Weekend on-call rotationKey Responsibilities:
Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and lawfully Monitor patient medication compliance and usage patterns to ensure safe therapy Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files meticulously Provide expert consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications, including dosage, side effects, and interactions Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions according to protocols Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks, ensuring competency in sterile compounding procedures Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supplies inventory Identify and communicate drug-related problems to healthcare providers Ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards through collaboration and oversight of sterile compounding areasQualifications:
Current North Carolina pharmacist license in-hand is mandatory IV/Infusion pharmacy experience highly preferred Strong knowledge of sterile compounding, pharmaceutical laws, and regulatory compliance Ability to supervise and train pharmacy staff effectively Excellent communication skills and attention to detail This contract opportunity is designed for those ready to integrate quickly and demonstrate infusion pharmacy expertise in a dynamic environment.
