Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Job Type Contract Join a high-performing compounding pharmacy team where your clinical expertise and precision directly impact patient outcomes. This role offers a strong path to permanent placement and is open to both experienced pharmacists and motivated new grads with a passion for compounding. Key Responsibilities Prepare and dispense compounded medications (sterile and non-sterile) in compliance with regulatory standards Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient-specific therapies Ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 guidelines Maintain accurate patient records and oversee prescription processing Manage inventory, including compounding supplies and medications Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care Support training and supervision of pharmacy technicians
Work Hours Full-time:
40 hours per week Monday-Friday shifts scheduled between 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Every third
Saturday:
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM Experience 1-2 years of pharmacy experience preferred Open to new graduates with strong interest in compounding Experience with sterile and/or non-sterile compounding highly valued Familiarity with retail pharmacy workflows and prescription processing Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent required Active Pharmacist license in North Carolina required Additional Qualifications Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 standards Strong attention to detail and accuracy in compounding practices Ability to work efficiently in a moderate-volume environment (~78 compounded Rx/day) Comfortable learning new pharmacy systems (training provided for PK software) Strong communication and teamwork skills or reach out for further inquiry: (713) 987-3641 Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
