share to e-mail Tweet share to twitter Share on Facebook share to facebook Share on LinkedIn share to linkedin Current Team Member - Apply Now Apply Now Save Job Job Saved Job Description Position Summary The role is a key member of our specialty pharmacy services and works closely with patients, ECU Health specialty clinical pharmacists and regional clinic teams to improve patient outcomes, by assisting with processing, filling and delivery of their medications. The Liaison leads and has primary responsibility with receiving referrals, verifying patient demographics and medication coverage in the database, initiating, and obtaining prior authorization requests, facilitating patient assistance, appeals, peer reviews, and co-pay assistance. Also ensures communication with specialty patients and the referral source and serves as specialist for outpatient pharmacies with prescriptions requiring prior authorization, patient assistance, appeals and co-pay assistance. The Liaison assists with developing content and sharing with providers offices regarding clinical services and provides pertinent metrics related to their prior authorization and patient funding success rates. This position completes all daily, weekly, and monthly required documentation required for data collection and analysis to support regulatory accreditation requirements. This role will serve as the main point of contact to facilitate communication between the Pharmacy and specialty departments. Performs other duties as necessary for the effective daily pharmacy operations and assists in a range of supportive duties consistent with the goals, policies, and procedures of the pharmacy. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Minimum Requirements High-School Diploma or equivalent required. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in the state of NC required. National Certification (PTCB) required. 3 or more years of pharmacy experience is required; 1-2 years in Specialty Pharmacy is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Comfortable with technology and ability to adapt to new systems. Must be organized and able to work independently.
