How you'll contribute A Pharmacist PRN who excels in this role: Developing and coordinating clinical pharmacy services including antibiotic management, renal dosing program, pharmacokinetic monitoring, IV to PO conversions, etc. Educating staff Pharmacists in provision of clinical services, monitoring quality of clinical services and serving as a resource for Pharmacy Staff, Nursing Staff and Medical Staff. Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team. Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems. Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students. Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts. Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians. Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current NC Pharmacy licensure or must be completed within 90 days of hire by either examination or reciprocity required and possess a bachelor's degree Ph. D./M.D./D.D.S. or Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred from accredited College/University. Minimum of two years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.Additional requirements include:
Â- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) is required within 30 days of hire. Â
- Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel & Outlook, Meditech preferred. Â
- Critical thinking skills Â
- Decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Â
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
