Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire This opportunity is for a skilled pharmacist focusing on compounding within a fast-paced pharmacy setting. The pharmacist will be responsible for preparing both sterile and non-sterile compounded prescriptions while ensuring compliance with USP standards and maintaining patient safety and satisfaction.

40 hours per week Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Every third Saturday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM 30-minute lunch break
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers to meet patient-specific pharmaceutical needs Prepare and dispense compounded prescriptions accurately, including sterile and non-sterile medications Maintain detailed and precise patient records and oversee inventory management Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients to support optimal health outcomes Assist in training and supervising the technician staff to maintain high-quality operations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed pharmacist in North Carolina 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates with a passion for compounding are encouraged to apply Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 guidelines for compounding medications Familiar with retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing Ability to work with pharmacy software similar to QS1 (training provided) This position offers an excellent pathway to permanent employment after a 13-week contract.
