Where You'll Work CHI Health Immanuel, located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on 72nd Street, offers a full-service hospital, cancer center, rehabilitation center, specialty spine hospital and more. Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Clinical Pharmacy Specialist you will drive excellence in patient care through advanced clinical pharmacy services and strategic leadership. This pivotal role involves implementing cutting-edge pharmacy initiatives, optimizing medication outcomes through evidence-based medicine, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across our healthcare system. You will be instrumental in integrating clinical pharmacy programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and elevating the standard of pharmaceutical care in a dynamic clinical environment. Every day you will directly impact patient safety and quality by performing the duties of a registered staff pharmacist, interpreting critical medication orders, and resolving complex drug-related issues. You'll actively engage in mentoring pharmacists and pharmacy residents, educating medical staff on cost-effective pharmaceutical solutions, and contributing to interdisciplinary committees to shape best practices. Your expertise will guide the development of clinical programs, support one or more Service Lines, and ensure robust medication management across the continuum of care. To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong foundation in clinical pharmacy practice, coupled with proven leadership and teaching abilities. Your skillset must include exceptional drug information expertise, proficiency in automated pharmacy systems, and a commitment to meticulous documentation of clinical interventions. We seek an individual with a passion for pharmacy education, a readiness to precept students and residents, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes and uphold our mission, vision, and values.
Job Requirements Required:
Nebraska Pharmacist License Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) through the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association Residency completion OR 2 years of clinical experience
