Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A pharmacist role is available within an inpatient/behavioral health setting, offering a contract assignment starting on 5/18. This position is located in Council Bluffs, IA, and requires weekend availability, specifically Saturday and Sunday shifts of 6 hours each day. The assignment will continue until a permanent candidate is hired. Key responsibilities will include ensuring accurate medication dispensing, repackaging pharmaceuticals using systems such as Milt/Medi-dose or HCL, and managing inventory through automated drug machines by loading medications and running restock reports. This role demands attention to detail and adherence to protocols essential in behavioral health environments.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Active Iowa pharmacist license Previous experience with Omnicell pharmacy automation systems is preferred Familiarity with repackaging methods using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL Basic knowledge of handling automated medication dispensing equipment and performing inventory restocking procedures Commitment to safe and compliant medication management in a clinical setting Schedule and location:
Shifts:
Saturdays and Sundays, 6 hours per day
