Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract An expanding healthcare organization is seeking a seasoned Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to spearhead the launch and daily operations of a new outpatient community pharmacy in the Newark, NJ area. This full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity offers a pivotal leadership role overseeing pharmacy functions and fostering a high-performing team from the ground up.

Newark, NJ Schedule:
Monday through Saturday Daytime operating hours
Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize daily pharmacy operations and workflow Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory pharmacy standards Supervise, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff to enhance performance Oversee inventory management and maintain quality assurance programs Provide clinical oversight and deliver patient counseling services Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and organizational leadership Support the successful launch and growth of the pharmacy
Qualifications:
Active New Jersey Pharmacist license required Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist-in-Charge Proven background in community pharmacy settings Demonstrated ability to lead pharmacy operations and teams Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Familiarity with pharmacy management systems such as PrimeRx or MicroMerchant advantageous Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Why This Role?
