Posting Summary Rutgers University Correctional Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for the Northern region located in Newark, NJ. Under the direction of the UCHC Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Pharmacist Specialist is responsible for University Correctional Health Care ( UCHC ) clinical pharmaceutical services and monitoring clinical guidelines with New Jersey Department of Corrections ( NJDOC ); ensures standards of professional and ethical practice in the provision of pharmaceutical services within the institution are maintained; and represents the Director of Pharmacy when necessary. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides clinical pharmacy services for optimal cost-effective patient care. Reviews physician orders to determine therapeutic rationale and appropriate patient regimens. Complete polypharmacy reviews and laboratory monitoring. Provides and directs clinical intervention programs to enhance medication selection, administration, and dosing. Monitors performance of clinical initiatives. Maintain formulary compliance through cost analysis and adherence to clinical guidelines. Reviews existing clinical services and develops new guidelines as part of performance improvement that targets optimal medication therapies and patient outcomes FLSA Exempt Grade 38S Salary Details Minimum Salary 127299.000 Mid Range Salary 154187.000 Maximum Salary 184644.000 Offer Information The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position.
