Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire Exciting opportunity to join a growing community healthcare organization as it launches a brand-new onsite pharmacy in Newark, NJ this August. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position offering the chance to help build pharmacy operations from the ground up while serving a diverse and underserved patient population.
Responsibilities:
Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently Counsel patients on medication use, adherence, and potential side effects Collaborate with providers and healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations Support pharmacy workflow and supervise pharmacy technicians as needed Assist with inventory management and medication procurement Utilize MicroMerchant / PrimeRx pharmacy systems Contribute to the successful launch and growth of a new community pharmacy
Requirements:
Active New Jersey Pharmacist license required 1+ years of community pharmacy experience required Full-time availability required Strong patient counseling and communication skills FQHC and/or 340B experience preferred Bilingual Spanish skills preferred Experience with MicroMerchant or PrimeRx preferred
Schedule:
Monday - Saturday Pharmacy hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Full-time schedule August start Contract-to-hire opportunity
