Job Description

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Pharmacist to work at a facility in Taos, NM .
Pay Rate:
$2, 503.72 weekly
Job Details:
3- 12 hour day shifts.
Description:
This position is located in Toas, NM. This is scheduled to be for a 13 week contract with a strong possibility of extension.
Qualifications:
At least one year (12 months) of previous working experience as a Pharmacist Ability to build rapport with patients Compassionate and caring demeanor Familiarity with medical terminology BLS/CPR Must have up to date certification in
NM Responsibilities :
Screens drug orders for drug interactions and Incompatibilities Screens outpatient prescriptions for billing information and whether or not the prescription can be filled depending upon the patient's financial category Consults with physicians as necessary to clarify medication orders Instructs patients on proper use of their medications Prepares and dispenses drugs and pharmaceutical preparations Fills prescriptions Assists in ward inspections Checks the work of Pharmacy Technician as required Updates reference books, treatment authorization requests and non-formulary drug lists Bills medication administration records Assists with chart reviews and audits Coordinates medication borrowing procedures from other hospitals on weekends and holidays Notifies appropriate persons when stock levels become low Completes daily I.V. Rounds, checks patient profiles, keeps/updates I.V. Admixture patient profile records and compounds, chemotherapy I.V.'s Keeps records of drugs, poisons and narcotics as required by federal and state law Accompanies physicians on medical and surgical rounds as time permits Maintains and keeps in clean and orderly condition the drug and chemical supplies of the Pharmacy If interested, please apply through this job post.
