Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacist in Charge, a pivotal role dedicated to ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of compounded pharmaceuticals. In this energetic and leadership-driven position, you will oversee daily pharmacy operations, work with compounded pharmaceuticals (sterile and non sterile) and provide expert clinical guidance. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes by managing medication therapy, supervising pharmacy staff, and maintaining rigorous standards of safety and quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead with innovation and compassion in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Responsibilities Lead pharmacy operations, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements including cGMP and state pharmacy laws. Supervise pharmacy technicians and staff, providing mentorship and ongoing training to uphold high standards of patient care. Oversee medication dispensing processes, including compounding medications with aseptic technique and managing inventory to ensure optimal stock levels. Conduct patient assessments for medication therapy management, including pediatrics, critical care, and acute care populations. Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management plans, pain management protocols, and immunization programs. Utilize pharmacy software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to document patient interactions accurately. Maintain detailed documentation of all pharmacy activities, incident reports, and audit logs to ensure transparency and accountability. Skills Extensive knowledge of compound pharmacy practices Proven clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on patient service and assessment skills across diverse populations including pediatrics. Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory management tools. Skilled in compounding medications using aseptic techniques while maintaining sterile environment standards. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and educating patients on medication use. Ability to oversee pharmacy operations efficiently while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety standards.
