Providing refill extensions and partial medicion supplies. Ensuring prior to dispensing, medicions are completely and correctly labeled and packaged in full compliance with Federal rules and regulions. Providing oversight of technical staff in all aspects of medicion distribution. Maintaining adeque drug stock, inspecting drug storage areas, supervising pre-packing and the operion of automed dispensing equipment. Notifying Supervisor or other designed person of actual or anticiped shortages of medicions and supplies. Using computer systems and software to maintain reports and produce records. Working knowledge of automed dispensing cabinets. Assisting in formulary management including therapeutic substitutions, non-formulary reviews and medicion usage evaluions. Documenting and assessing adverse drug events (ADEs). Assisting in medical emergencies. Participing in Northport VAMC and VISN-level committees as assigned representing Pharmacy Service.
