  • Full-time Job Overview Community Care Rx is seeking a high-energy, dependable, and service-driven New York State Licensed Pharmacist to join our Long-Term Care pharmacy team.
This role is ideal for a pharmacist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, takes ownership of workflow, and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure orders are verified, filled, and ready before delivery routes leave. The ideal candidate is reliable, responsive, and committed to delivering excellent pharmacy service to long-term care facilities, nurses, prescribers, and patients. This position also includes basic leadership and supervisory responsibilities to support pharmacy operations in the absence of the Pharmacy Supervisor or Pharmacy Manager. About Us Community Care Rx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy serving patients with high-touch needs in facilities throughout New York and New Jersey. We are committed to providing safe, accurate, and highly responsive pharmacy services that positively impact patient care and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Perform the duties of a dispensing pharmacist in a long-term care pharmacy setting Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently for clinical appropriateness, legal compliance, and product accuracy Work in PV1 and PV2 verification to support timely prescription processing Help ensure orders are verified, processed, and released on time so delivery routes leave as scheduled Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, facility staff, and internal departments to resolve issues quickly and professionally Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, urgency, and customer service in all daily responsibilities Work closely with data entry, filling, packaging, customer service, inventory, and delivery teams to keep workflow moving efficiently Support inventory coordination and help ensure medication availability for timely order completion Assist in organizing technician workflow and support staff output to maintain efficient operations Delegate appropriate tasks to pharmacy technicians and interns in accordance with law and company policy Help monitor staff workflow, reinforce expectations, and support day-to-day operations in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager Assist with maintaining structure, urgency, and accountability across the pharmacy during leadership coverage gaps Step in as a working leader when needed to help prioritize urgent orders, route deadlines, and customer needs Read and stay informed on client communications, internal updates, departmental notices, and operational changes What We're Looking For Strong sense of urgency and willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done High reliability, strong attendance, and ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced environment Commitment to accuracy, productivity, and excellent customer service Ability to support leadership by helping direct workflow and reinforcing standards when needed Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across all departments Ability to stay calm under pressure and make sound operational decisions Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a commitment to the company's mission and standards Qualifications Current New York State Pharmacist License required Minimum 2 years of pharmacist experience preferred Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred Strong computer skills and comfort working in pharmacy systems and Windows-based software Ability to evaluate workflow and support efficient prescription processing Ability to assist in directing technician workflow and verifying preparation, labeling, and packaging accuracy Ability to identify problems, gather information, and help implement practical solutions Schedule Available shifts include: 8:00 AM

  • 6:00 PM 11:00 AM
  • 7:00 PM Flexibility and willingness to stay beyond scheduled hours when operationally necessary are strongly valued.
