This role focuses on ensuring the safe, precise, and efficient use of medications in an inpatient setting. The pharmacist will work primarily in the central pharmacy with some limited clinical responsibilities. The schedule includes day and afternoon shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately verify and dispense medications, ensuring proper dosing, labeling, and handling of IV and controlled substances Monitor patient medication profiles for potential drug interactions, allergies, and other concerns, resolving issues proactively Provide timely drug information and support to healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes Prepare sterile products and IV admixtures following USP compounding guidelines to maintain safety and quality Assist with pharmacy inventory management, regulatory compliance, and uphold a clean and organized workspace Contribute to departmental quality assurance and safety initiatives

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current New York State Pharmacist License required PGY1 residency or strong experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy practice preferred Knowledge of inpatient medication distribution and sterile compounding standards Ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
