Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Travel A healthcare facility in Canal Winchester, OH is seeking a licensed Pharmacist with hospital inpatient experience to support their pharmaceutical care team. This travel opportunity offers a Monday-Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with every 6th weekend coverage and compensatory days off during the week.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions. Monitor and manage patient medication therapies to ensure safety, efficacy, and age-appropriateness. Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality improvement programs, and relevant pharmacy regulations. Provide drug information and counseling to patients, families, and healthcare providers. Participate in emergency drug therapy management, including medication preparation and supply assurance. Oversee daily activities of pharmacy technicians to meet patient care and departmental needs. Demonstrate empathy, integrity, teamwork, agility, and stewardship aligned with organizational values.Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy. Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing. Minimum of one year hospital inpatient pharmacy experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with medical staff, patients, and the public.Physical Requirements:
Medium work involving occasional exertion of 20-50 pounds. Capable of problem-solving, effective communication, time management, and collaboration in a fast-paced hospital environment.
