Job Description

As a Clinical Pharmacist in our Main Campus Inpatient Pharmacy, you will support a wide range of care areas—including 60 nursing units, 80 operating rooms, 4 PACUs and 10 cath labs—to ensure patients receive medications accurately, safely and on time. You will provide expert selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medications while contributing to the high-quality treatments patients rely on. This role offers exceptional exposure to complex clinical environments, strong educational and professional development opportunities, and collaboration with a close-knit Emergency Medicine Clinical Specialist team of eight pharmacists and a clinical coordinator, who primarily serve the ED and provide cross-coverage as needed. A caregiver in this role will work Monday through Friday rotating evening shifts from 12:30pm
  • 9pm, 11am
  • 7:30pm, or 1:00pm
  • 9:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services. Verify medication orders and/or dispenses medications accurately according to state and federal regulations. Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner. Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives. Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards. Directs staff appropriately to provide safe and efficient care and maintain professional working relationships with all caregivers. Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers and/or patients. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: PharmD or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire Completion of a Post-Graduate Year 1 Residency (PGY1), fellowship or relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Board Certification Physical Requirements :
Typical physical demands include ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job; ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Position often includes reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting. Must have normal or corrected vision. Must have ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person
Personal Protective Equipment :
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum Annual Salary:
$101,900.00
Maximum Annual Salary:
$155,390.00 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).
