A growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy in Columbus, OH, is seeking two Narcotic/Controlled Drug Pharmacists for direct hire positions. These roles focus on managing controlled substances within a specialized pharmacy setting that services healthcare facilities.
Available shifts include:
2ndShift:
Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, 5 eight-hour shifts with every other weekend required 2ndShift:
7 days on, 7 days off, Monday to Sunday, 4:00 PM - 2:30AM Key Responsibilities:
Manage controlled drug medications, including narcotics, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards Review medication orders for accuracy, drug interactions, dosages, and proper administration Provide therapy recommendations to physicians and facility staff as needed Maintain and update patient databases with medical history, clinical and laboratory data Investigate and resolve medication-related queries in collaboration with nursing staff and healthcare team members Supervise medication preparation and ensure proper security of all medications Maintain accurate controlled drugs registers for legal compliance and stock control Perform on-call duties when requiredQualifications:
Must hold a valid Ohio pharmacy license Experience in handling controlled substances, specifically narcotics, is essential Familiarity with Frameworks pharmacy system preferred Strong communication skills to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail This opportunity offers a chance to work in a specialized long-term care pharmacy environment with competitive compensation reflective of experience.
