Job Description
Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Travel Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care as a hospital inpatient pharmacist on a travel assignment in Lancaster, OH. This role involves monitoring medication therapy, ensuring safe and effective drug use, providing accurate drug information, and overseeing medication distribution within a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately review, interpret, and dispense medication orders. Monitor patient medication regimens to ensure therapeutic effectiveness and appropriateness. Maintain and adhere to departmental policies, quality improvement programs, and regulatory standards. Communicate complex drug information to patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Assist in emergency drug therapy management and ensure availability of necessary medications. Coordinate daily activities of pharmacy technicians to meet patient and departmental needs. Uphold organizational values of empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork while fostering a safe, quality-focused environment.Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor of Science or PharmD from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Active Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing. Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders. Commitment to professional growth and ethical pharmacy practice.Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. Every 6th weekend coverage with subsequent weekday time off.
