Job Description
About the Role We're seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to support safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing across both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role ensures high-quality pharmaceutical care while supervising pharmacy technicians and collaborating closely with clinical teams. You'll play a key role in medication safety, patient counseling, and regulatory compliance within a hospital pharmacy environment. What You'll Do Medication Dispensing & Clinical Pharmacy Services
- Prepare, verify, and dispense medications with accuracy and clinical judgment
- Interpret and transcribe medication orders into patient profiles
- Provide drug information and dosage guidance to physicians, nurses, and patients
- Counsel patients on medication use, safety, and side effects Patient Support & Experience
- Respond to patient and staff inquiries with professionalism and clarity
- Support age-appropriate pharmaceutical care across infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards in all interactions Cross-Functional Collaboration & Workflow Oversight
- Partner with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to resolve medication issues
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure efficient daily workflow
- Participate in hospital committees, meetings, and quality initiatives Pharmacy Operations, Systems & Compliance
- Utilize Cerner and retail pharmacy software systems efficiently
- Maintain accurate records for controlled substances and ensure regulatory compliance
- Monitor inventory to support cost-effective and safe medication management
