Pharmacist - Clinical, Ambulatory, and Retail Operations 24/7
Urgent Care & Infusion Pharmacy Department:

Managing Partners Job Summary:
The Pharmacist will lead comprehensive medication management across urgent care, infusion therapy, retail pharmacy, and ambulatory care services. This includes direct patient counseling, prescription verification, infusion coordination, chronic disease support, and compliance oversight. This role blends clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and community-based care in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. Key Responsibilities Retail & Clinical Dispensing Accurately fill, verify, and dispense prescriptions per legal standards. Conduct drug utilization reviews for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness. Educate patients on proper use, side effects, and adherence. Support urgent care prescribers with dosing, substitutions, and clinical decisions. Infusion Services Manage pharmaceutical prep for IV infusions (e.g., iron, hydration, antibiotics, Zofran, Toradol). Ensure sterility and safety in mixing and administering infusion meds. Monitor patient tolerance and intervene in adverse drug events. Partner with providers for IV order reviews and drug-specific protocols. Ambulatory Care Duties Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and PAs to manage chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, asthma). Conduct medication reconciliation and optimize regimens. Provide one-on-one patient counseling and follow-up on therapeutic plans. Assist in anticoagulation management, adherence coaching, and lifestyle support. Participate in preventative health services (e.g., vaccinations, smoking cessation). Operations & Inventory Supervise pharmacy technicians and workflow efficiency. Maintain DEA and Ohio Board of Pharmacy compliance. Oversee controlled substance recordkeeping, security, and diversion prevention. Manage pharmaceutical inventory and ordering, including specialty and refrigerated items. Technology & Billing Use pharmacy management and EHR systems (e.g., PioneerRx, QS/1, Kareo). Support claims submissions and payer issues. Participate in billing accuracy, reimbursement tracking, and formulary alignment. Skills & Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree Active Ohio pharmacist license in good standing Ambulatory care and/or infusion experience preferred Strong patient-centered communication and clinical skills Familiar with pharmacy software and basic insurance billing practices Work Schedule Full-time or part-time 12-hour rotating shifts (24/7 pharmacy coverage) Must be available for weekend, evening, or holiday coverage as needed Core Values Clinical excellence and patient safety Compassionate and accessible healthcare Strong ethics and regulatory integrity Team collaboration and flexibility
