Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Direct Hire An established compounding pharmacy seeks an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory compliance and quality operations at its Ohio facility. This onsite leadership role offers long-term stability, growth potential, and exposure to strategic compliance management across multiple state licenses.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday Onsite in
Albany, Ohio Key Responsibilities:
Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and additional states as needed Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations Maintain pharmacist and facility licensure Lead inspections and represent the facility during regulatory meetings Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and training programs Oversee regulatory reporting, recalls, complaints, and quality investigations Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams Manage QA/QC functions including batch record review, deviations, investigations, and environmental monitoring Lead validation activities and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) Review and approve change controls, product labeling, and annual product reviews Oversee incoming materials, vendor qualification, and reserve sample programs Present quality metrics to site and corporate leadership
Qualifications:
Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Minimum 5 years leadership experience managing teams Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding Proven track record leading inspections and regulatory audits Proficient communication and Microsoft Office skills
Preferred:
Licensure in multiple states 10+ years in pharma, biotech, or related industries 7+ years in quality or compliance with increasing responsibility
